Dental Treatment

Loss, discoloration and distortions caused by tooth decay or trauma are restored with aesthetic fillings.
The purpose of dental treatment is to clean dental caries and to fill the formed cavity (cavity) with an artificial filling material. Today, dental caries is defined as a disease that occurs in dental tissues due to more than one reason.

Factors of Dental Caries
Bacterial plaque
Carbohydrate foods (Sugar, flour, etc.)
Intrinsic factors (Tooth structure, composition of saliva, etc.)
Time (Retention time of food in the mouth)

Bacterial plaque formed by bacteria in the mouth can form acid from the residues of sugary and floury foods in the mouth. These acids dissolve the mineral tissue of the tooth and cause the formation of cavities, which we call cavities, by destroying the enamel of the tooth.

Diagnostic Methods
Dental caries can occur on the chewing surface of the teeth, the interfaces of the teeth, or the neck of the teeth. Browning or cavities on visible surfaces are easy to detect. However, x-ray diagnosis may be required in caries that have not produced these symptoms. If the decay that starts in the enamel tissue of the tooth is not treated, it progresses to the dentin tissue. Dentin is a structure that dissolves more easily than enamel and therefore caries progression is faster. A patient with a caries that has reached the dentin tissue may have hot, cold, sour, sweet sensitivity resulting from a factor. This pain goes away on its own when the cause is removed. If the pain has become continuous, it has progressed to the pulp layer where the vascular-nerve package of the carious tooth is collected and makes us think that root canal treatment is necessary.

Composite Filling
is a plastic mixture containing silicon dioxide particles. It is not noticeable in the tooth with its various color options and is also called aesthetic-white filling. The material, which was used only in the anterior teeth for a period, was strengthened by various methods and made suitable for the posterior teeth as well.
The filling material placed on the tooth using a special bonding agent is hardened with a light device and polished in the same session.

Porcelain Filling
Impressions are taken from the cavity prepared in porcelain fillings and sent to the laboratory. When the patient comes to the next session, the polished porcelain filling is adhered to the cavity.

Amalgam Filling
Silver is formed by mixing tin and copper alloy with 45-50% mercury. After the cavity cleaned from caries is filled with amalgam filling material, it is recommended not to use that area for two hours and not to chew anything hard for 24 hours. After 24 hours, the well-hardened filling is polished
